Meet Kristina and learn the #1 resource she wishes more caregivers and those living with dementia would take advantage of.

What do you do for the organization?

I am a Community Health Worker at the Dementia Resource Center Clinic (DRCC) and am passionate about supporting those living with dementia and their caregivers. Through my role, I get the opportunity to help them adopt healthy behaviors and connect them with resources.

What do you love most about your job?

As a Community Health Worker, I love meeting new people, helping them set attainable goals, and supporting them throughout their journeys.

What piece of advice would you give a caregiver who is taking care of a loved one with dementia?

One important piece of advice I would give to a caregiver is to identify your support systems such as family members, friends, and professionals.

What DRCC resource do you wish more caregivers and those living with dementia would take advantage of or know about?

One resource that I wish caregivers knew more about is our caregiver support services, such as Caregiver Coaching. Caregiver Coaching provides a great opportunity for caregivers to connect one-on-one with a caregiver coach and gain knowledge, skills, and tools to help enrich their caregiving experience.
